As an Australian and New Zealand first, McWilliam’s Balance has become the first wine to be endorsed by Weight Watchers.
The introduction of Weight Watchers POINTS on the McWilliam's Balance range of wines gives consumers the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine while remaining on track with their weight loss goals.
Weight Watchers and McWilliam's share a common philosophy of helping consumers easily track and be aware of their intake of both food and wine.
From consumer research, McWilliam's found that consumers want lighter, more refreshing styles of wine that better align to their lifestyle. McWilliam's Balance has just 8.5% alcohol, being 1/3 lower in alcohol and 1/3 lower in kilojoules.* Not only does one glass of McWilliam's Balance wine have a Weight Watchers POINTS value of one but it also equals exactly one standard drink.

McWilliam's Balance will have the Weight Watchers endorsement exclusively for at least three years. The partnership will be leveraged with advertising in Weight Watchers Magazine, communication to their membership database and profiling in 2010 shopping and eating out guides. With more than 1.8 million people following the Weight Watchers program in Australia every year, McWilliam's Balance is destined for incredible consumer demand.
