Decanter Magazine Shiraz Feature
Decanter Magazine, one of the UK's most influential wine magazines, has released its Australian Shiraz feature
McWilliam's Wines performed strongly with four wines rated four stars.
- 2009 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Maurice O'Shea Shiraz, “This is layered and complex with well-integrated oak, ripe fruit, interest and length”
- 2009 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Old Paddock and Old Hill Shiraz, “beautifully balanced with mineral core. Ripe and integrated tannins with precise acidity and stylish tension.”
- 2009 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Rosehill Shiraz, “refreshing and attractive palate with lovely crisp, bright flavours and rounded, firm tannins. It sings.”
- 2009 Evans & Tate Redbrook Shiraz (to be released 2012), “Harmonious and well structured with a compact core of ripe fruit, with layers of mocha, spice and cherry, savoury notes. Classy.”
The panel of experts tasted more than 250 Australian Shiraz wines and carefully selected just over 60 to feature in the article.
